Words cannot adequately express my relief at the fact that marriage equality has not only passed but passed without amendments!
Rip what you can off me.
The marriage plebiscite somehow managed to arrive a couple of weeks ago.
Tech Support and I both ticked the “YES” and I slam-dunked those bad boys right into the nearest post box from which they hopefully made it to their destination, but with recent reports of fraud and mail tampering which has accompanied this whole ordeal… who can say for sure?!

Everybody seems so far away from me.
Recently I applied as a cadaver donor. You can read all about that over here.
From there I’ve been looking into which body parts can be legally harvested while I’m still alive. A kidney is the obvious first choice with half my liver coming in a close second, but it turns out these things are rather… complicated, so I toned it the hell down and, realising:
- I’ve had no new piercings in several years, and
- have maintained an acceptable body weight for over a year,
Turned my attention instead to blood donation.
The offering has been accepted.
After receiving the go-ahead from relevant medical professionals and blood tests it was time to get on with it.
Take my tears and that’s not nearly all.
Salutations friends, fiends, furs, and foes!
It’s getting close to that time of year again: OZ Kink Fest will be running from the 15th to the 25th of September where I will be joining Von Chibi’s team on the runway once more for the Fetish Expo Fashion Parade from 4pm on Saturday the 16th.
It’s looking set to be a kinky day, so! If that sounds like something you’d be into feel free to join us at the Fitzroy Town Hall where the doors will be open from 12noon with tickets around $25.
Please be aware that this is an 18+ event.*
Further information can be found here:
Maybe we’ll see you there?
*Actually, I can’t find any information specifying age restrictions but am making assumptions based on the nature of the event(s).
You assure me it’s worthwhile. It’s all worthwhile.
If you are Australian and plan on voting in the upcoming marriage equality plebiscite then double check you have registered properly and your details are up to date.

Somewhere along the lines we stopped seeing eye to eye.
What goes off, my dudes?
The blog and the comic were both down for at least 4 days a couple weeks back, it may have been longer but I was out of town and not really paying attention. The short end of it is that the servers decided they wanted to fight WordPress. Then, once the sites were back up, I still couldn’t access them for administrative purposes because the servers decided that they also wanted to fight me.
We’ve since made amends and things are more or less back in order for now.
In the cold I stood.
Greetings chums!
Casually bleeding from the face is genuinely a strong look for me.
Do you enjoy zombies? Comedy? Silly short films? Well, wouldn’t you know, it was the middle of winter and my mother was all like “Hey small child, wanna go out to a freezing cold forest in the middle of the night? My cinema colleagues are making a film because people who work in cinemas enjoy making films as much as they enjoy watching them and also they need more zombies. Dad is making spaghetti for dinner.”*
And I was all “Fuck yeah I want spaghetti!” So off we trek’d in the middle of the night in the middle of winter to go be zombies in the middle of a forest and afterwards I got spaghetti for dinner despite my hands being entirely too cold to adequately hold a fork.
Point is, the film which was filmed that night, along with behind the scenes footage, is now complete and viewable on the good old YouTube so… enjoy? Or don’t?
You’re your own person.
*Not her exact words.
I won’t cry because I’ve stumbled through this far.
Guess whose cadaver has been potentially donated toward research and educational purposes?
Hint: It’s mine. Mine has.
Let me lay your mind to rest.
A moment of silence for Spaghetti Joe, the mature female mountain huntsman spider who took up residence in my home toward the beginning of autumn this year.

Sadly, Spaghetti Joe passed away peacefully under the upstairs futon last week.
It’s funny how freedom can make us feel contained.
Last month’s MAD Fashion Showcase went well!

Hit the runway in a jacket by Von Chibi paired with jaunty hat by Cherry Pie and a 3-tiered jabot I’d whipped up in the week before the show.
Despite a fevered ability to take thousands upon thousands of photographs of invertebrates and interesting looking rocks, I’d left the camera at home that day, so only snapped a handful of vaguely unfocused selfies with the phone.
If you are interested in photographs (maybe also videos) from the runway, then please hit up the Facebook pages of Von Chibi Designs and Cherry Pie Millinery (whose works I was sporting) or that of Melbourne Alternative Designers to get a look at some of the many talented craftspeople this city has to offer!
Should you be interested in gratuitous closeup photographs of huntsman spiders then feel free to scroll on down and acquaint yourself with images of my energetic sparassidaughter, Spaghetti Joe:
